Swimming lesson reflection

 Today we went to the Massey park pools for our swimming lesson and we learnt about the importance about life jackets the point of it is to keep you above water to save you from drowning and to provide warmth to the chest if in cold water it will be most important to keep your chest warm because it is where your heart is. We also learn what to do if stuck in the middle of the ocean with life jackets. If you are planning to make a signal try and get everyone around you so it will be more noticeable and the life jackets are the color of the life jackets are yellow because it is a standing out color in the water.

marine animals

 Today we learnt about the habitats of animals and saw the turtle shells,penguin feathers, shark jaws, a stingray tail and some eggs of fish. The most interesting thing was that the shark jaw had more than 3 layers of teeth.  It was a good opportunity to learn about the marine animals and their habitats. Hope to see some more interesting creatures at Kelly tarltons.
