I am a Year 8 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.

why is recycling important
Why is recycling important?
It is important to recycle because there will be more houses and massive building.
And people can can go to new works and people can live in new fancy houses and we recycle paper so we can send note to are family
Sometimes it takes thousands of years for most of the stinky trash in landfills to decompose and break down. For example when massive trash is buried in a landfill with no oxygen it produces methane. This toxic gas is poisonous to living things and bad for the environment.
We should recycle because we are keeping the earth healthy. For example We
recycle so when new kids come to live so they can get a family
We are not recycling properly so when kids grow up they will run out of space to live when they grow up .
Japan was cleaning up our stinky massive dump rubbish. But then they stopped cleaning our rubbish in new zealand
When something that was once living rots or breaks down into the earth. For example an apple core a banana peel and a orange peel.
